Knowing that I’m safe and my husband won’t read this…my husband is drop-dead gorgeous, and handy in that he knows that when something needs fixin’ around these parts, he picks up the cell phone and calls someone else to fix it. This is wonderful to me, as so many of his “Oh, I can fix that!” projects have turned into a “Home Improvement” plot, but much worse. Of course, I THOUGHT he was handy when he said he was and it would be no trouble fixing up our 140-year-old fixer-upper house…

He’s good with computers though. Definitely a computer geek, but a good-looking one. So I keep him around.

This is clearly a trick question. Whatever it is I have now, I'll keep him. As a former engineer he is frustratingly only interested in being handy when it comes to things that could burn down the house or cause explosions or involve climbing on the roof. Other than that, he'll change light bulbs. Other than that, I'll take handsome.

Except that he spends all his time at work and doesn't want to spend his precious few hours with us doing chores. So I do them if at all possible. I finagle the budget to be able to hire things done that he could do, so that he can spend an extra four hours with us on Saturday instead. (Unless it's a chore the kids can help him with.)
